When is an Implant the Right Thing?

In today's world of dentisty,  an implant or multiple implants are always a wonderful approach to your dental care.  Using an implant will enable your dentist to provide care in the one area of your mouth that requires treatment.  After all,  why would you want to destroy perfectly healthy teeth in your mouth,  just to fix one tooth!  By placing an implant,  the implant acts as a 'root' which helps promote bone stabilization in the area of lost teeth which aides in the prevention of periodontal (gum) problems in the long run,  and of course...has much superior stability when used in implant denture cases.  Implant dentures secure to a 'bar'  ,  therefore, allowing patients greater ability to eat foods that they may have given up for years.

So,  you ask....When is an Implant the right treatment?

We have discussed implant function will:

1---Promote bone stability

2--Reduce need to destroy healthy teeth (multiple tooth situations)

3--Provide stability of dentures to enhance your lifestyle and activity avoiding embarrassing moments

4--Potential to aide in the prevention of periodontal recession issues over the long-term

It would be difficult after reading the benefits why one may not use or suggest implant treatment.  I can only assume, and recommend a patient contact our office for further information about the above if you have additional questions.
